Nestled in the heart of South St. Louis City, our event space was painstakingly purpose-built to host your celebrations including weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, family gatherings, corporate milestones and community events.
From the moment you step through our doors, you'll be captivated by our beautiful space and relaxed ambiance, blending the comforts of home with high-end finishes. Our customizable event options allow us to bring your unique vision to life, whether it's an intimate gathering or a grand formal affair. From your first consultation to the final toast, we strive to make your celebration exceptional.
Our History
a.casa was established in January 2020 as an event space for our community. The venue is located south of Tower Grove Park, nestled on a corner just north of the intersection of Chippewa and South Kingshighway. It was designed to be a cozy and unique urban gem. Despite the pandemic, we immediately started hosting pop-up dinners, micro weddings, happy hours and corporate events.
a.casa is part of a greater mission to revitalize South Kingshighway by propelling this South City commercial district into a better future. Our parent company, Garcia Properties, is passionate about the community that has supported their business for 20+ years. In those two + decades, this part of our City has experienced many improvements. Several Garcia family companies are intentionally located in this commercial district, including a host of real estate centric businesses, the Golden Hoosier, a.companie event planning, and Buds Pizza & Beer (coming soon).

Our team is led by Melody Lowry. With 14+ years of experience including hundreds of events, Melody brings all the event design, planning and execution knowledge you could ever wish for. Her expertise and leadership ensure that your event, regardless of size or budget, is crafted to be “practically perfect” in every way.
As a St. Louis native, Melody is deeply rooted in the local community which drives her passion and commitment to a.casa. In her free time, she loves creating memories with her growing family, exploring the vibrant food and wine scene with her husband, and immersing herself in the rich arts and culture that St. Louis has to offer. Tower Grove Park: visit seasonal farmers markets, summer and fall festivals, iconic St. Louis landmarks great for exploring and photography, and who can forget, home to the St Louis Botanical Garden, all just 1 - mile away.
Piper’s Tea & Coffee: stop in for a cup of your favorite morning or midday pick-me-up as you debrief from your tour at a.casa ;).
Garcia Properties: home to that awesome Welcome to St Louis mural you saw on your way to us from HWY 40 or 44 (another fun photo spot). You know what they say, first comes love, then comes… a real estate agent, house, rental property, mortgage, insurance…?!
Golden Hoosier: opened just shortly after a.casa and sure to be the best burger and cocktail in this neck of the woods. It’s a unique and quirky neighborhood bar that sure does it right! Also, a spot that our a.casa patrons love to visit for a little night cap or after party.
Topflight Barber Shop: on the block for 20+ years, Kim’s shop is a revolving door of happy customers getting stylish cuts, looking good and feeling fresh.
